Sustainable Stormwater Management at McLeod Condos

Sustainable Stormwater Management at McLeod Condos

In collaboration with Centennial Construction, we undertook the creation of a three-building condominium expansion complex. The project was strategically designed to accommodate the growing need for urban living spaces while addressing the critical issue of stormwater management in the region.

The McLeod Condos expansion posed a multifaceted challenge for our team. The challenge being that we needed to introduce an extended hardscape surface area led to heightened storm runoff, amplifying the velocity of stormwater flow. This scenario raised concerns about the potential strain on the surrounding stormwater infrastructure during heavy rainfall events. We needed to devise an innovative solution that could effectively control the initial surge of stormwater from storms, ensuring the surrounding infrastructure was not overwhelmed.

Introducing the Greenstorm modular Stormwater Management System to the McLeod Condos project not only addressed the stormwater management challenge but also maximized the utility of the parking lot and facility access area. The successful implementation of the Greenstorm modular Stormwater Management System redefined how stormwater challenges can be addressed in urban developments, a major breakthrough for sustainability within our industry.
