On Friday, October 21st , Devron Sales will be participating in the 48th annual Drainage Engineers Conference.
Devron is proud to be the Canadian manufacturer of the internationally acclaimed, bioengineered ShoreSox System. This innovative erosion control system is a soft-armour solution to reclaim lost land and aid in the completion of challenging drainage projects. Devron supports the initiatives of the OSPE and the Land Drainage Committee to improve the practice of drainage engineering by offering a system that reduces phosphate and nitrate from runoff.
This system not only reduces phosphate and nitrate but also eliminates the use of heavy equipment and halts soil erosion, all in an environmentally friendly manner. We work with agricultural groups, municipalities, drainage professionals and conservation authorities to help develop best practices in reducing the surface and subsurface transportation of phosphorus off agricultural land either directly into waterways, or via municipal drainage systems.
We are also intent on protecting watersheds , which incorporates rural stormwater management in the form of sediment control features such as the ShoreSox System. We look forward to seeing you at the conference, stop by our booth with any questions or to find out more about this innovative bioengineered system.

Brandon Cormier, Devron Sales Ltd. will be presenting a recent installation of the ShoreSox System at this years Natural Channels Conference. As explained on their website, ” the Natural Channels Conference is intended to explore the science and application of Natural Channels and stream corridor rehabilitation.
Our understanding of the importance, complexity, and interconnectedness of watercourses, and their relationship with biological and ecological processes continues to evolve, leading to a growing emphasis on protecting Canada’s green infrastructure. The conference is part of a continuum of learning and advancement of the science and practice of channel rehabilitation in Ontario. This began in Ontario in the early 1990s and evolving in the USA, UK, Europe, Australia and elsewhere over the last 25-30 years. It seeks to further explore innovations in science in an effort to better understand the importance of streams and their corridors to the health of watersheds.
Over the course of two days, we will hear from practitioners, scientists, academics, and policy makers who can share their knowledge and innovation in order to deliver new ideas and approaches to problem solving. The conference is composed of International Keynote Speakers, Concurrent Sessions, Panels and Workshops, as well as a Poster Session. Our Wine and Cheese social event will offer opportunities for networking with a diverse group of attendees.”

Devron Sales will be exhibiting at this years IECA Great Connections Conference and promoting our ShoreSox Erosion Control System. Brandon Cormier, Glenn Cooke, Daniel and Sage Schaaf will be at booth #20 and ready to answer any questions you may have or glad to simply review the system with you.
As mentioned on their website, this conference is bringing together contractors, stormwater professionals, designers and planners from the host chapters’ 12 states & 4 provinces (IL, IN, MI, OH, WI, IA, KS, MO, NE, ND, SD, MN, ON, AB, SK, MB) and the bordering IECA chapter region.
The IECA Great Connections program includes an exciting range of projects from professionals across the Midwest. Each brings valuable insight and experience to the challenges and opportunities we all encounter every day.
It’s the perfect networking and educational opportunity for any stormwater, erosion and sediment control or other professionals in related industries.
Come by and visit our booth #20! See ya there!
Read up on this months issue of Erosion Control Magazine, many erosion control strategies are discussed. This month they take a look at erosion control in landfill sites and also its effects on neighbouring areas. “EPA maintains strict guidelines with which municipal solid waste landfills must comply once a landfill has reached its maximum capacity, setting in motion its closure.” -Steve Goldberg, Writer for Erosion Control Magazine
This is IECA’s premier educational event for the erosion, sediment control and stormwater industry. Environmental Connection combines intense, full and half day training courses with topic-focused technical sessions and the largest expo of its kind.
Over 4 days, Environmental Connection provides peer–reviewed education, products and technology. Brandon Cormier will be representing Devron Sales Ltd. from the 16th-20th of February at this trade show. Daniel Schaff (ShoreSox CEO/Founder) and Brandon, will be promoting our new innovative bio-engineered ShoreSox erosion control system.
