On Friday, October 21st , Devron Sales will be participating in the 48th annual Drainage Engineers Conference.
Devron is proud to be the Canadian manufacturer of the internationally acclaimed, bioengineered ShoreSox System. This innovative erosion control system is a soft-armour solution to reclaim lost land and aid in the completion of challenging drainage projects. Devron supports the initiatives of the OSPE and the Land Drainage Committee to improve the practice of drainage engineering by offering a system that reduces phosphate and nitrate from runoff.

As explained on their website, ” the Natural Channels Conference is intended to explore the science and application of Natural Channels and stream corridor rehabilitation.
Our understanding of the importance, complexity, and interconnectedness of watercourses, and their relationship with biological and ecological processes continues to evolve, leading to a growing emphasis on protecting Canada’s green infrastructure. The conference is part of a continuum of learning and advancement of the science and practice of channel rehabilitation in Ontario. This began in Ontario in the early 1990s and evolving in the USA, UK, Europe, Australia and elsewhere over the last 25-30 years. It seeks to further explore innovations in science in an effort to better understand the importance of streams and their corridors to the health of watersheds.
Over the course of two days, we will hear from practitioners, scientists, academics, and policy makers who can share their knowledge and innovation in order to deliver new ideas and approaches to problem solving. The conference is composed of International Keynote Speakers, Concurrent Sessions, Panels and Workshops, as well as a Poster Session. Our Wine and Cheese social event will offer opportunities for networking with a diverse group of attendees.”

Where Niagara River Meets Lake Ontario
Earlier this year, Devron Sales supplied 300 feet of Shoresox™ for an installation along the Niagara River. It was in a heavily eroded area that residents use as a beach front.
Without excessively disrupting the area, the Town of NOTL wanted a cost effective, permanent erosion control system that could instantly reclaim land and had a vegetated look over time. Shoresox™ System achieved all of those requirements, while being quick to install, easy to use and aesthetically pleasing.
