On Friday, October 21st , Devron Sales will be participating in the 48th annual Drainage Engineers Conference.
Devron is proud to be the Canadian manufacturer of the internationally acclaimed, bioengineered ShoreSox System. This innovative erosion control system is a soft-armour solution to reclaim lost land and aid in the completion of challenging drainage projects. Devron supports the initiatives of the OSPE and the Land Drainage Committee to improve the practice of drainage engineering by offering a system that reduces phosphate and nitrate from runoff.
This system not only reduces phosphate and nitrate but also eliminates the use of heavy equipment and halts soil erosion, all in an environmentally friendly manner. We work with agricultural groups, municipalities, drainage professionals and conservation authorities to help develop best practices in reducing the surface and subsurface transportation of phosphorus off agricultural land either directly into waterways, or via municipal drainage systems.
We are also intent on protecting watersheds , which incorporates rural stormwater management in the form of sediment control features such as the ShoreSox System. We look forward to seeing you at the conference, stop by our booth with any questions or to find out more about this innovative bioengineered system.
Where is it:
Holiday Inn Guelph Hotel & Conference Ctr
Address: 601 Scottsdale Dr, Guelph, ON N1G 3E7
Brandon Cormier, Devron Sales Ltd. will be presenting a recent installation of the ShoreSox System at this years Natural Channels Conference. As explained on their website, ” the Natural Channels Conference is intended to explore the science and application of Natural Channels and stream corridor rehabilitation.
Our understanding of the importance, complexity, and interconnectedness of watercourses, and their relationship with biological and ecological processes continues to evolve, leading to a growing emphasis on protecting Canada’s green infrastructure. The conference is part of a continuum of learning and advancement of the science and practice of channel rehabilitation in Ontario. This began in Ontario in the early 1990s and evolving in the USA, UK, Europe, Australia and elsewhere over the last 25-30 years. It seeks to further explore innovations in science in an effort to better understand the importance of streams and their corridors to the health of watersheds.
Over the course of two days, we will hear from practitioners, scientists, academics, and policy makers who can share their knowledge and innovation in order to deliver new ideas and approaches to problem solving. The conference is composed of International Keynote Speakers, Concurrent Sessions, Panels and Workshops, as well as a Poster Session. Our Wine and Cheese social event will offer opportunities for networking with a diverse group of attendees.”

Earlier this year, Devron Sales supplied 300 feet of Shoresox™ for an installation along the Niagara River. It was in a heavily eroded area that residents use as a beach front.
Without excessively disrupting the area, the Town of NOTL wanted a cost effective, permanent erosion control system that could instantly reclaim land and had a vegetated look over time. Shoresox™ System achieved all of those requirements, while being quick to install, easy to use and aesthetically pleasing.
Please take a look at the video above to see how the Shoresox™ System was able to reclaim the lost land of this eroded Niagara River shoreline. Let us know if you need more information or if you have an application that could benefit from the Shoresox™ Erosion Control System!
TRIECA is Canada’s premier stormwater, erosion and sediment control conference bringing together some of North America’s leading experts, influential leaders and distinguished research partners in one event. Together these organizations have a defining role in shaping the future direction of the industry.
Devron presents ShoreSox™ at TRIECA March 23rd-24th booth #304!
Renowned speakers from throughout North America will present the latest technological innovations, case study findings, innovative solutions and academic research.
Devron Sales will be promoting our newest and most innovative erosion control product, the ShoreSox™ Erosion Control System at booth #304. This bioengineered system is designed with nature in mind to immediately halt soil erosion and offer a permanent vegetated solution.
This soft armor alternative to gabions and rip rap is ideal for sensitive sites and conservation areas alike. It requires no heavy equipment , is internationally patented and is safe for humans and animals.
We are proud to be the exclusive manufacturer and distributor of this system in Canada and are very excited to be presenting it at the upcoming TRIECA Conference.
